Vibrant and light-medium bodied with warm cocoa and honey notes followed with a burst of lemon and a clean flowery aroma. The flavors and acidity aren’t too overpowering, rather well-balanced giving a clean, vibrant finish.

Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia

Part of the Sidamo region it is located in southern Ethiopia. The warm and tropical climate allows the coffee plants to grow, naturally, thanks to high elevations, thick vegetation and healthy soil. Coffee plants are grown at high altitudes of 2,000m above sea level which results in the floral and fruity notes.

Great flavors

Delicious, balanced medium roast espresso blend. We have tried a few of the single origins from Brooklyn Lab which was nice too, but this has that cafe style nutty espresso flavor that we just love.

Also, Brooklyn Lab is so organized. Freshly roasted on the day you order and at our apartment 3days later. Much more affordable price point than many other local roaster I’ve found in the city with no sacrifice in flavor. Happy customers.

Great coffee

The Manhattan Blend is excellent. I ordinarily am not a big fan of Ethiopian beans, but I love these. It’s not highly acidic and doesn’t taste overly tea-like, which was the case with other Ethiopian beans I have tried. The Manhattan Blend has some of those flavor notes, but not in an overpowering way. Not only does this make a great cup of coffee, but the price is reasonable and the beans are organic, two additional pluses in my book.
