Description

Dark Chocolate. Cedar. Peach

Well-known for its smooth and full-bodied flavor, this roast is a bold character. Composing of earthy and complex flavors of bittersweet chocolate, peach-like dryness and acidity. The wet-hulling process also known as “Giling Basah” gives this coffee its distinctive earthy character.

Good tasting coffee

I’m back for more , I was tired of buying coffee that had gave me hard time pulling a nice shot . This coffee was fresh and exactly what I needed. Now my espresso taste better and making it so much easier. I liked this coffee so much that I ordered it again . I bought the Brooklyn blend city roast , if you guys have any advice of other blend I should try for espresso let me know .

Love your feedback!!! My favorite (owner/partner here) is the Brooklyn Blend for espresso.
A slightly more acidic version would be the Peru single origin blend or the Brazil.

On Point

Being a coffee enthusiast, there are a lot of options out there. Brooklyn Lab was suggested by a friend and out of his peak enthusiasm, it was hard not to want to sample. At first it was the Mexican blend. Still a favorite. Rich, harmonious, robust, perfect with food. But when the City Roast crossed the lips, game-changer mode hit. Grinding our own has been a subtle bonus, but nothing has came close to the fresh blend of grinding the BB City Roast. Sold. Consistent and so fresh. This our new go-to. Thank you!

Wow- this is one of the nicest reviews we've read!
Thank you for your friend for spreading the word :) We truly appreciate it.
Though we may be far from perfect, we'll continue to roast great tasting beans at great value!

Very bitter flavor

This is our first go round with Brooklyn Labs Coffee. We ordered the City Blend 412 and had such high hopes. We used the pour over method and found the coffee to be very bitter, almost burnt. Sadly, we won't be ordering this particular blend again. Maybe it was Sumatran coffee beans? Unsure.

Hello Andy,
Sorry that you didn't have an optimal experience. Customers usually complain that our flavor profile is actually less dark / weaker than they hoped. Could you try again with a different blend or a different brew method? Give Manhattan blend a try! Thank you for the review though- these feedbacks help us make better coffee and maintain our quality.
